The Hearth House

The Hearth House
The Hearth House dining room
Edinburgh, Scotland

FOOD ROOTED IN PLACE.

Contemporary British dining, shaped by fire, season, and craft.

Philosophy

THE LAND. THE FIRE. THE TABLE.

We believe in the quiet power of ingredients grown close to home. Our kitchen operates around a central hearth, using fire to coax out the deepest flavors of the Scottish landscape.

Here, the dining table is a place of connection—a space to slow down and share honest, contemporary British food in a room built from the very stone of our city.

Technique

CRAFTED BY HEAT.

Wood-fired cooking in the kitchen

Fire is our primary tool. It transforms the raw into the refined, adding layers of smoke, char, and deep caramelization that simply cannot be achieved by any other method.

We work with varying temperatures—from roaring flames to dying embers—to treat each seasonal ingredient with the respect and precision it deserves.

The Room

MADE FOR THE SHARED TABLE.

The Hearth House is designed for lingering. Housed within a renovated historic Edinburgh building, our dining room uses warm timber, linen, and brushed metal to create an intimate space for quiet celebrations and seasonal gatherings.
